Our studio welcomes independent instructors to use our floor to pursue their passion for teaching the performing arts through lessons and classes.

Types of Floor Use

​

  1. Private Lessons - Instructor with 1 or 2 students, scheduled as needed by the instructor        

  2. Group Classes - Instructor with 3 or more students, scheduled by the instructor, might or might not occur regularly

  3. Activities - Various dance-related activities, might or might not include instruction, scheduled once, occassionally, or regularly by an organizer

  4. Practice - 1 or more students practicing on their own, no instructor, scheduled regularly or as needed by a practice group representative

  5. Recreational Dance/Movement Groups - 1 or more participants dancing on their own, no paid instructor, scheduled regularly or as needed by a recreational group representative

  6. Other - We are open to other activities that are friendly to our floor. Examples include: rehearsals for plays or musicals, meditation, music classes, etc. Call us to see if your needs can be met at Kaleidoscope!

Floor Use Requirements

 

  • All floor use requires a completed and signed client registration form to be on file.

  • A signed Floor Reservation Agreement specifying dates, times, number of attendees, amenities needed, deposits, and floor use fees is required for all group classes and activities.

  • A non-refundable deposit which will be applied to the floor fees is required for all non-repeating activities. The time slot will not be reserved until the deposit has been paid.

  • A non-refundable monthly deposit which will be applied to the floor fees is required for all recurring or regularly scheduled classes and activities. The deposit is due by the 25th of the prior month in order to have the time slots for the following month reserved.

  • Liability insurance is strongly recommended for all instructors and activity organizers. Paying students/participants are covered under our liability insurance, however instructors, organizers, and their staff and non-paying guests are not.
